Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) reports to the VP of Sales. The SDR’s primary role is to use prospecting, outreach via email campaigns, and individual strategic efforts, to identify and connect with enterprises in need of GoSecure’s portfolio of products and services.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Generate qualified sales ready leads (SRLs) for the new business team.
- Seek out and connect with enterprises who have not purchased from GoSecure historically and define their need for GoSecure’s products and services, 100% outbound focus.
- Execute multi-touch prospecting to identify and target prospective clients (leads) and create new lead channels.
- Design targeted outreach campaigns leveraging phone, email, social media (like LinkedIn), market research, and other creative approaches to obtain contact information for prospective clients.
- Establish initial professional connections with prospective clients, communicate GoSecure’s value proposition, educate on GoSecure’s portfolio of products and services, and remove initial objections.
- Conduct strategy calls/consultations, demonstrations, fit assessments, technical calls, and analysis to determine if the lead is viable (i.e. a qualified SRL).
- Pass qualified SRL to the Account Executive (AE) to close business.
- Gain, maintain, present, and articulate a working knowledge of cybersecurity and industry trends sufficient to establish credibility.
- Build current and future pipeline in respective assigned territory ($4M+ for rolling 2 quarters minimum).
- Document all touchpoints and sales-related activities in Salesforce.com.
- Make 80 plus outbound calls per day.
- Attain assigned personal and team goals.
- Regularly review key performance metrics with management to identify areas for growth and opportunities to constantly improve on results (i.e. quality SRLs passed to AEs).
- Additional duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with both high-level decision makers and technical influencers.
- Exemplify a strategic and intentional “hunter” mentality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Energy, enthusiasm and ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience selling technology solutions a plus.
- Salesforce.com experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent education/experience.
- Entry level position.
