Job Description:
Plutosec is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect critical assets from cyber threats. This role requires a strong understanding of security architecture, risk management, and proactive threat mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions to protect IT infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, investigating potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement network and endpoint security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and DevSecOps integration.
- Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking to identify weaknesses and enhance security posture.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Research and implement emerging security technologies and industry trends.
- Train and mentor junior security engineers and analysts.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong knowledge of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security solutions.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
