Job Description:
Plutosec is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats, assisting in risk assessments, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives to protect our clients’ digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various tools and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify risks.
- Investigate and report on security incidents, providing remediation recommendations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and best practices.
- Work with security teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
- Perform log analysis and threat intelligence gathering.
- Support compliance efforts with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Prepare detailed security reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Assist in security awareness training and initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with security monitoring tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Understanding of network security, firewalls, and threat detection techniques.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret security logs and threat intelligence reports.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
