The Security Analyst is responsible for identifying and remediating enterprise security risks to ensure the effectiveness of CI’s cybersecurity program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigate security alerts to identify a breach and participate in the incident management process
- Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations
- Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures
- Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture
- Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
- Participate in business and IT projects to ensure compliance with security requirements
- Contribute to the creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures)
- Monitor security advisories for current security exploits, evaluate applicability and provide recommendations
- Remain informed on trends and issues in the information security industry, including current and emerging technologies and new attacks and threat vectors
- Perform daily security related operational tasks
- Perform other functions as assigned
- Provide on-call support
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
- 5+ years of in-depth hands-on security experience
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, Linux), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, EDR, Forensics etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
- Working technical knowledge and experience in information technology, computing systems, network technology, security operations, security technology, and the application of information security concepts
- Working knowledge of CyberArk and Cisco ISE will be an asset
- Working technical knowledge of cloud security principles
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in information security or equivalent work experience
Certifications
- Comptia Security + or equivalent
- ISC Certified in Cybersecurity or equivalent
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – (ISC)2 would be an asset
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty would be an asset
