Working as part of the Operations team, this entry level Operations Coordinator – IT & Facilities Services position will be responsible for providing IT services and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This will include the management, administration, and monitoring of all business systems and aiding the organizational staff with IT & Facilities needs to support the on-going growth of YPCE.

Operations Coordinator – IT & Facilities Services at YPCE Head Office
Location: 15203 Yonge Street, Aurora, ON L4G 1L8
- Start Date: TBC/October 2024
- Salary based on qualifications and experience
- Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
IT Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user to provide hands-on level 1 troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot PC and mobile device issues including common OS, malware and security issues
- Provide technical support to Head Office and all YPCE sites, as well as internal meetings, events and special projects
Facilities Services
- Deliver a consistent and efficient service across multi-sites and assist with maintenance scheduling and upkeep of maintenance logs
- Ensure the optimal operation of all YPCE sites by complying with all applicable legislations, regulations, standards and other requirements
- Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the building and/or IT infrastructure
Collaboration and Documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of workflows, processes, and changes
- Support in audits and controls by maintaining and updating records regularly
- Perform various administrative functions including budgeting, contract supervision, equipment acquisition and vendor payments
Process Improvement
- Identify areas where improvements can be made in the organization, and contributing to innovation in operational processes
Knowledge Requirements – Basic Level
- Networking (switches, routers, etc.)
- Operating System (Windows 11, Windows Server) and MS Office 365 admin console
- Mobile Devices (Android and iOS)
- IT Security (current security risks and anti-virus programs)
- Proficiency in personal computer technology and peripherals
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, FileZilla, and WordPress, application software, diagnostic software, software images and recovery procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk environment preferred
- CompTIA A+ certification would be an asset
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in positive and competent manner
- A self-starter capable of taking on tasks and prioritizing assignments with minimal supervision
- Must possess a high level of professionalism to include the ability use discretion and confidentiality
- Candidates with less experience may be considered
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Physically able to lift and/or assist with the moving of objects up to 30lbs
- Occasional travel to YPCE sites for inspection, maintenance and emergency as required
