As our IT Coordinator, you will be the go-to person for keeping our technology operations running smoothly and securely. You will play a critical role in managing our core network infrastructure, protecting our corporate data through proactive cybersecurity measures, executing technology implementations, and providing exceptional hardware and systems support to our internal team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network & Cybersecurity Management
- Monitor, maintain, and secure the corporate network; actively participate in IT security monitoring, mitigation, and compliance audits.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory and related core network services (GPO, DNS, DHCP) alongside Google Workspace Admin Console and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot essential networking components including firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and email filter servers.
- Maintain oversight of local/web servers, virtualizations, general website hosting environments, and Content Management Systems (CMS).
2. Tier 1 & Tier 2 Hardware Troubleshooting & Support
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair office computer hardware, corporate laptops, operating systems, and local software applications.
- Provide swift Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting to resolve technical incidents for internal staff (on-site or remotely), including desktops, mobile devices, corporate cells, and printers.
- Fully prepare, configure, and deploy all IT equipment, system permissions, and software access profiles for arriving and departing employees.
- Track and maintain an accurate asset inventory of computer hardware, accessories, peripherals, and printer supplies.
3. Infrastructure Projects & Technology Implementation
- Assist in the planning, testing, deployment, and documentation of new hardware systems, software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinate specialized initiatives, project rollouts, and planned system maintenance alongside external vendors and IT consultants.
- Actively assist in server room setups, network cabling, infrastructure organization, and office tech relocations.
4. Facility Tech, Telecom, & Core Utilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain the facility's security cameras and smart intercom entry systems.
- Oversee the integrity of corporate telecom lines and provide day-to-day administration and troubleshooting for the VOIP telephone systems.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT support and systems administration experience.
- CompTIA A+ Certification is required; Network+ or Security+ certifications are a significant asset.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure security.
- Excellent documentation habits for technical procedures, strong time-management skills, and a clear, user-focused communication style.
- Ability to work fully in-person in Guelph, with the flexibility for occasional regional travel across Ontario if needed.
