The Basics
We are seeking a proven, strategic and tactical Regional Vice President of Sales (RVP) to lead a team of Directors of Strategic Accounts (DSA) that are focused solely on new logo acquisition. The appointed RVP will play a key role in pipeline generation, revenue growth, and achieving individual, team and organizational quotas. You'll be a valuable contributor to sales strategy while providing definition and implementation to help DSA’s achieve corporate objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Personally oversee and be the primary sales leader for a team of 8 Directors of Strategic Accounts (DSA)
- The role is solely focused on new logo accounts for midmarket, enterprise & public sector accounts across Canada
- Develop and execute a national new customer acquisition strategy to generate annual growth in revenue and bookings in the region
- Proven track record of driving new customer acquisition in midmarket, enterprise, and public sector segments
- Develop and manage a high performing team of new logo hunters
- Ability to coach direct reports to facilitate the creation and execution of effective account plans for all accounts in the assigned territory.
- Develop team to be effective prospectors including cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, networking, etc.
- Effectively build Pipeline Generation structure into daily team operational rhythm
- Work in the field with your team to prospect, attend events & meet with prospective customers
- Collaborate closely with Sales Development Representatives, Field Marketing, Account Based Marketing, Partner teams to develop and prepare an actionable strategic sales plan for each named regional account
- Maintain awareness and status of all key regional contractual obligations, facilitating customer meetings and communications regarding deliverables where necessary
- Conduct weekly forecast meetings with regional team and coach the team on strategies to drive closure
- Report on regional sales activity and forecast to sales leadership
- Ongoing mentorship and development of a sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new DSAs on sales processes
We’re looking for someone with
- Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Industry Experience: 5 years of proven sales leadership
- Enterprise software sales experience, both as an individual contributor and sales leader
- Experience managing top performing sales team in new logo acquisition
- Experience building and executing effective prospecting and pipeline creation programs
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and work with the DSA’s to prospect and coach them
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape and IT operations environment
- Proven history of exceptional quota attainment
- Knowledge and passion for reporting metrics and closing deals
- Superb organizational skills

What You’ll Get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is C$110,000 to C$335,000 and this position will also be commission eligible. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
