WHAT YOU WILL DO
The overall purpose of this position is to assist with maintaining and improving IT infrastructure and security related to the Company’s IT environment. This includes assisting with System Administration tasks\project, compliance to security standards, maintaining access-control and ensuring security practices\policies are followed by end-users and IT staff. The position includes planning, delivering, maintaining, optimizing and supporting infrastructure and security initiatives in alignment with departmental and Hyundai Canada business goals and objectives.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Vulnerability and Security Management
- Work to develop update packages and monitor\track installation status for security vulnerabilities, software and firmware
- Monitor daily operations of networks, systems hardware, firmware, software, and databases for vulnerabilities and breaches.
- Ensure compliance with Hyundai regional and global standards
- Assist with implementing and deploying various security initiative projects
- Assist with identifying security issues and developing suggested solutions
- Work with administrators on security tool administration and support including Firewall, IPS, IDS, NAC, Web Filtering, Web Access Firewall, Anti-Virus, SIEM, EDR, and Vulnerability Management system.
- Monitor system logs using industry standard tools such as Splunk.
- Conduct security assessments and assist with audit evidence collection for various Hyundai security audits to ensure compliance with Hyundai standards.
- Perform end user security DLP audits
- Perform reviews and manage access control for end-users.
- Keep current on the information security threat environment and attend regular security meetings.
- Attend vehicle security meetings and report back to security management team
Systems Administration
- Assist with maintain and supporting servers including all related applications.
- Assist with Administering and supporting a predominantly Cisco network environment and services, phone system, LAN and Wan, security devices and services, email system(s), wireless network and all other hardware and software platforms.
- Assist with Planning, designing, installing, testing, implementing, and documenting operating systems/applications upgrades and enhancements.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls relating to servers and applications or calling upon appropriate vendors on a rotational schedule.
- Diagnose infrastructure and operational problems, implement work around or fail over, perform root cause analysis, determine and implement permanent fixes.
- Provide second level desktop and application support as required.
- Documentation & Process Improvement
Develop and enhance documentation of security practices and procedures.
- Assist with reviewing current practices and developing plans for improvement
- Provide procedural and technical guidance for staff
- Assist with ensuring compliance with security policies\procedures\practices by IT Team
- Provide security related training to end-users (new tools, procedures\policies)
- Assist with data flow review\documentation for all systems
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Completion of a related college diploma or university degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- IT Support Security related background and\or training is a must
- 2-5 years of experience in an IT role with automotive experience being a benefit
- Strong working knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
- Strong security practice\tool knowledge is required.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Above average organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Working knowledge in the following technologies and services is required: MS Windows Server, Office 365, Email Security practices, Active Directory,
- Experience with Cisco ASA\Fire Power firewalls, Tipping Point IPS System, Z-Scaler, Cisco ISE, Imperva WAF is a benefit but not required.
- Experience with the following technologies and services is a benefit but not required: MS Windows Server, Exchange On Premise, Office 365, Email Security practices, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NLB, SQL, IIS, Windows PowerShell.
