About the Role:
The Vice President, Corporate Information Technology & Security reports to the COO at Cyderes and works collaboratively with the executives to advance the strategic vision, mission, and values of the company. The VP, IT is the creative and visionary leader of the Division of Information Technology (IT) and champions the progressive use of technology to foster an equitable, digitally enabled company. You will have the overall ownership for the development and delivery of IT services to meet business needs . This position will lead, plan, direct, and control all activities related to Strategic IT Alignment, Service Lifecycle and Enterprise Architecture functions. You will plan IT budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives / objectives and ensure operational demand is aligned with annual investment plans and IT Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Leadership
- Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
- Oversee IT Services, including Endpoint/Asset Management, SaaS, and Corporate Application Support, ensuring reliable and efficient technology operations
- Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business
- Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures to align with business objectives
- Manage Cloud Systems Engineering teams across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring robust cloud architecture and scalable systems to support business growth
- Operational IT and Security Management
- Implement operational security controls, including Vulnerability Management, Cloud Entitlement Management, and Identity Management, to ensure a secure IT environment
- Direct IT Risk and Security operations with a focus on governance, risk management, and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
- Establish lines of control for current and proposed information systems to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks
- Data Insights and Analytics
- Guide Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Management teams to enable data-driven decision-making and support strategic goals
- Develop and implement data governance policies to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of organizational data
- Financial and Resource Management
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development
- Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives
- Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, pursuing master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale
- Innovation and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact
- Promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations
- Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
- Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across the IT organization
Requirements:
- 10 years or more years of relevant technology experience in strategic and operations planning, including people leadership and project management responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or business administration or other relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience with public company IT control environments and/or IPO readiness initiatives preferred
- Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development
- Excellent understanding of project management principles. Ability and commitment to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
