About You:
As a seasoned Cybersecurity Assessor with expertise in frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST, you excel at identifying vulnerabilities and providing practical solutions to mitigate risks. Your proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders positions you as a trusted advisor. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments, including vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration testing, to identify security gaps.
- Evaluate client environments against industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and other relevant frameworks.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance security measures.
- Develop and deliver detailed assessment reports, outlining findings, risk levels, and strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement effective cybersecurity strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as PIPEDA, to ensure clients meet legal requirements.
- Lead end-to-end cybersecurity assessment engagements, managing planning, execution, and reporting processes while ensuring client satisfaction and security improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity assessment, auditing, or consulting roles.
- Proven track record of leading at least three cybersecurity assessment engagements within the last five years.
- Demonstrated experience applying the NIST cybersecurity framework.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Must have experience working with at least one Canadian utility, public sector, or government entity.
- One or more technical security certifications is a plus (e.g., CISSP, CISA, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
