We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking, well organized individual to join our growing team as a Network Engineer. Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Technology Operations you will play a key role in defining and executing against strategies that use best-in-class technology and optimized processes to enable organizational growth, achieve better business outcomes and delivering operations at scale.
Hiring Requirements
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
- Install, configure, and maintain firewalls. Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the firewalls are up to date with the latest security features and fixes.
- Monitor networking equipment performance and health, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise and optimize system performance through regular tuning and configuration adjustments
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of system configurations and policies to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Use networking tools (i.e. FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) to automate and orchestrate rule changes, ensuring consistency and reducing manual effort.
- Work with the Operational Technology team to resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in efforts in threat detection, investigation, and response to security incidents.
- Utilize advanced cybersecurity tools and techniques for incident response and management.
- Assist in the maintenance of incident response plans and playbooks.
- Maintain detailed records of all changes, incidents, and resolutions for compliance and audit purposes.
- Generate and maintain compliance reports to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Create a Bill of Materials (BoM) for new technical environments.
To Succeed In This Role, You Have
- A Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business, or another relevant subject area, but candidates with an equivalent level of education and/or experience will be considered.
- 2-5 years as a network admin, system admin, site reliability engineer, or similar is strongly preferred.
- An industry standard certification (CCNP, CCDP, NSE7, PCNSA, etc…), strong candidates without this certification will be considered, provided they are willing to work toward obtaining one.
- Hands-on experience with cyber security technical capabilities (firewalls, IPS/IDS, anti-malware/EDR, vulnerability scanners, privileged access management, SIEM, etc.).
- Strong experience in information security, network security, or cyber security roles.
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
- Robust understanding of Operational Technology and/or IoT devices as they pertain to network infrastructures.
- Experience supporting, designing, building and or implementing large scale enterprise networks.
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper or other managed switching and routing technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and an understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS delivery models.
- An understanding of industry standard cyber security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, etc.
- The ability to move between working independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
- The ability to handle your workload, prioritize, and proactively seek guidance when needed.
- The ability to excel in a diverse, inclusive environment in which you have the opportunity to partner closely with colleagues and stakeholders from all across the world.
- Bilingualism in French and English is a strong asset.
