The IT Infrastructure Analyst is accountable for the implementation, configuration, support, and maintenance of our core cloud and network infrastructure platforms. This position will work closely within the infrastructure team in advancing our hybrid cloud model in a manner that aligns with security and information management best practices.
What you'll do
- Providing expert knowledge on cloud infrastructure and platforms to ensure our organization achieves its goals for cloud adoption. This involves translating cloud strategy and architecture into efficient, resilient, and secure technical implementations and ongoing operational support.
- Accountability for the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and other cloud provider solutions including managing the day-to-day tasks related to resource provisioning, allocation and planning, incident management and ensuring the efficient, effective, and reliable delivery of service
- Accountability for providing input into the Cloud Services roadmap to ensure proper maintenance and update of core technology
- Working with the immediate manager to develop, implement, and review cloud operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks
- Provide subject matter expertise for collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Continuously monitoring, investigating, and communicating new features and tools as they are released in the Cloud service provider solutions and participating in a governance council where these changes are assessed, implemented, and communicated to the user base
- Acting as a point of contact and liaison between the support teams for day-to-day issues related to the cloud infrastructure operations team
- Participating and/or leading problem management activities, including post-mortem incident analysis, providing technical insight, documented findings, outcomes, and recommendations as part of a root cause analysis
- Providing input to cloud infrastructure and operations plans and directions, and ensure on-going appropriate relationships with other positions, business units, service providers and end users

- Ensuring the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics including: project and operational delivery times, client satisfaction, ticket response targets, resolution targets, availability, and service quality.
- Be instrumental in managing and communicating outages and system performance degradation. Apply advanced analytical and monitoring techniques to ensure uptime and communicate service outages to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including but not limited to servers, backups, patching, networks, firewalls, access control, public cloud, and SaaS
About you
- University degree in Computing Sciences, Business or Engineering or a relevant two-year technical diploma from a recognized technical institute
- Deep understanding of current and emerging technology, particularly cloud technologies and practices
- Collaboration with developers, technical architects, management, and business users to plan, design, implement, operationalize and problem solve workloads that leverage cloud infrastructure and platform services
- Comprehensive IT Infrastructure knowledge of desktop, server, storage, and networking technologies
- Ability to manage major incidents by taking ownership and initiative
- Ability to successfully deliver ongoing cloud platform operations
- A keen attention to detail and excellent planning and organizational skills; is diligent, analytical, results-oriented, and a problem-solver
Technologies
- 3+ years of maintaining, deploying, and building the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Identity Management Active Directory, Single Sign On, M365, Network infrastructure (Palo Alto, Cisco & Meraki), Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with Google Workspaces and environment migrations is an asset.
- Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies and corresponding certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher OR
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Enterprise computing such as Windows, Linux, storage, backup and/or networking technologies and corresponding certifications
- Demonstrated subject matter expert proficiency of Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Azure including managing the day-to-day tasks related to resource provisioning, allocation planning and security
- Ability to develop and manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 processes and procedures, propose new standards, address peer feedback and advocate for improvement
