On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist - Job Description:
The IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist is responsible for conducting the post-incident review process for cyber incidents globally. This role focuses on identifying and eradicating root causes, chairing post-mortem meetings, and documenting action items to enhance the organization's security posture.
IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist - Responsibilities:
- Conduct post-incident review processes for global cyber incidents.
- Chair post-mortem meetings and prepare incident reports.
- Document and track action items via a ticket system.
- Perform follow-ups with action item owners for clarification and coordination.
- Engage stakeholders to address gaps identified during incidents or investigations.
- Lead inter-regional, inter-disciplinary discussions and facilitate communication, including Spanish translations when required.
- Support the completion of the Cyber Problem Management team’s reports and communications.
IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist - Mandatory Skills:
- 10+ years of working experience in IT.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, focusing on threat management.
- 3+ years’ experience with productivity tools like Power BI for reports and presentations.
- Experience conducting Root-Cause analysis.
- Understanding of industry frameworks such as NIST or ITIL and risk management.
- Ability to build reports, dashboards, or presentations for C-level executives.
IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Incident management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale calls with C-level executives.
- CISSP and/or CISM certification.
IT Cybersecurity Problem Management Specialist – Assignment Length:
The contract duration is from ASAP to October 30th, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
