Job Description
This position is a Full-Time Information Security Analyst opportunity to demonstrate knowledge gained and apply it in a dynamic, high-performing team. Responsible for assisting with activities designed to systematically run information security, such as security investigations, intelligence, assurance, and/or other project oversight, including developing governance procedures, risk analysis and compliance with regulatory guidance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze information security and technology risks across systems, applications, and business processes
- Translate technical findings into clear business impact narratives and risk insights
- Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders
- Support the development and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and other risk metrics
- Conduct risk assessments for new initiatives, identifying control gaps and recommending improvements
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inquiries by gathering, analyzing, and documenting evidence
- Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to drive risk awareness and remediation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk analysis, reporting, and governance processes
- Support documentation and coordination activities related to incident response and security events
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree candidate at a Canadian university with an expected graduation date of June 2026
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field
- 1 year of experience (internship included) in information security, technology risk, or a related field (preferably within the Canadian financial services industry)
- Must be able to work from our office in Toronto, Ontario 3 days a week as this is a hybrid internship.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, common threats, and control frameworks
- Experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to drive effective risk management and regulatory adherence
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured, and concise reports for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience developing PowerPoint presentations and executive-level materials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience applying structured analytical thinking to support decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with risk assessments, audit support, or regulatory environments (e.g., OSFI guidelines, PCI DSS)
- Familiarity with application security, cloud security, or DevSecOps concepts
- Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence
- Exposure to risk metrics, reporting, or dashboarding tools
- Additional language skills (Spanish or Portuguese) are an asset
