This is a contract Senior Application Security Analyst role based on-site in Montreal, QC. The Senior Security Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and managing security measures to protect the company's systems and infrastructure against internal and external threats. Daily tasks will include monitoring network traffic, performing risk and vulnerability assessments, analyzing malware, and ensuring the security of business-critical applications through comprehensive strategies. The role also involves incident response, threat analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Network Security to safeguard organizational systems and data
- Knowledge of Application Security to ensure the integrity and protection of software systems
- Strong Analytical Skills for investigating security threats and identifying vulnerabilities
- Experience in Malware Analysis and handling security incidents effectively
- Familiarity with modern security tools and frameworks, as well as compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- CISSP, CEH, or other relevant security certifications are advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud security solutions
Application Security
• Coordinate the analysis, design, development, test, and implementation of
Application Security controls.
• Closely work with the security team and oversee security assessment on group
applications.
• Analyze risk assessment report/security controls and implement a solution to mitigate risk.
• Manage the implementation of security initiatives aimed at closing various audit
findings.
• Maintain awareness of security issues amongst the development community.
• Continually improve the secure software development process and environment.
• Manage the portfolio of ongoing security improvements
