Systems Analyst - Tech Ops 18: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.

Team Overview:
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.

Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitates its execution across all domains in the organization.

Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.

Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
EDC’s Workplace Solutions team enhances organizational communication, collaboration, and business operations. The Senior Client Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and implementing both short and long-term solutions through software and infrastructure. This role involves project delivery, software maintenance, vendor collaboration, and ensuring that solutions meet IT standards and business requirements.
In collaboration with the Workplace Solutions Technical Lead, the Senior Client Systems Analyst partners with managed service providers to deliver solutions and oversee operational support.
This person must be able to perform all aspects of desktop technology delivery. This includes collaborating with vendors, consulting with partners to ensure articulation of business requirements, translating requirements into viable solutions, solution testing, and eventual deployment into necessary environments.
What you will be doing:

Execute tasks related to the design, development, integration, and operation of information systems.
-
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and recommends strategies to enhance or better leverage them.
-
Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our Endpoint and Microsoft 365 platforms, including Intune, Windows Autopilot, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Teams.
-
Interpret system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide delivery teams and maintain productive relationships with third-party vendors (managed services).
-
Maintain standards and processes for system deployment, testing, and governance.
-
Ensure system security, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring and configuration.
-
Administer and configure mobile devices for end users using Office365, Intune, Hybrid (SCCM integrated with Intune), and Azure Active Directory environments.
-
Act as an internal advocate for end users, escalating issues to Technical Leads when necessary and maintaining clear communication.
-
Monitor the health, performance, and stability of endpoint infrastructure (hardware and software), including tuning and long-term planning.
-
Execute critical tasks and projects related to endpoint technologies such as workstations and laptops.

Contribute to the implementation of Copilot and Copilot Agents.
-
Provide onsite support for critical Teams meetings, Teams Rooms, Townhall events and incident escalations.
What we are looking for:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related field.
Minimum of 7 years' experience working as a subject matter expert on the following:
Endpoint Management;
Microsoft 365 (Office Apps, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams);
Windows Desktop Operating Systems;
Mobile Device Management (MDM).
Possesses a proven track record in managing transitions to new endpoint technologies.
Brings expertise in overseeing the evolution of endpoint technology systems.
Communication skills with the ability to create and maintain technical processes and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including technical problem solving.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
