About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading organization in Canada’s financial services and digital payments sector, is looking for a Senior Specialist in Threat Intelligence to join their growing Cybersecurity team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in protecting critical national infrastructure while shaping how emerging threats are identified, analyzed, and mitigated.
You will collaborate with threat hunters, incident responders, and cross functional technology teams to proactively strengthen security posture. Your work will directly influence how the organization anticipates risk, responds to complex incidents, and safeguards the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its products and services.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll support and enhance the organization’s threat intelligence and hunting strategy in alignment with business priorities.
- In this role, you’ll identify, prioritize, and communicate emerging threats and vulnerabilities across the enterprise.
- You’ll lead threat informed defense initiatives in collaboration with incident response, security operations, and engineering teams.
- You’ll conduct hypothesis driven threat hunts using frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain methodologies.
- You’ll develop and deliver executive briefings and actionable intelligence reports that drive measurable improvements in security posture.
- You’ll manage and optimize threat intelligence platforms, ensuring integration with tools such as SIEM, EDR, and IDS solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Threat Intelligence or Threat Management within enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in threat modeling frameworks such as STRIDE and PASTA
- Hands on experience with threat intelligence platforms and integration into security controls
- Experience supporting or leading complex incident response investigations
- Experience using Cyber Kill Chain and Mitre ATT&CK frameworks
- Experience conducting threat hunts against threat actor behaviours and TTPs using hypothesis-led approach
- Experience with security devices such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, HIDS/HIPS, anomaly detection, Firewall, Antivirus, EDR and their data outputs
- Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices such as OWASP, ISO 27001/2, NIST
- Exceptional written and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are considered an asset
