CheapNET is a prestigious Italian company expanding its global footprint. As we open our first Canadian office, we are seeking a tech leader to build, secure, and maintain a robust IT environment that bridges our European standards with North American requirements.
Role Objective
The IT Manager will be the primary technology lead in Canada, responsible for the initial office setup, vendor management, and ensuring local operations align with global corporate IT strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Launch: Lead the design and deployment of local IT systems, including network setup, hardware procurement, and cloud service integration (Office 365, Azure).
- Local Compliance & Security: Ensure all IT operations comply with Canadian data privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA) and implement cybersecurity frameworks like NIST to protect company data.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Source and manage local Canadian service providers for internet, telephony, and hardware maintenance.
- HQ Integration: Serve as the liaison with the Italian headquarters to ensure seamless synchronization of ERP systems and communication protocols.
- Support & Training: Provide technical support to the new Canadian team and conduct workshops on software and hardware usage.
- Business Continuity: Develop and execute local disaster recovery plans and regular data backup procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in IT management, ideally with experience setting up new branch offices or working for multinational corporations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory) and network security.
- Languages: Full professional proficiency in English. Proficiency in Italian is a significant advantage for communicating with the HQ team.
- Skills: Project management expertise, financial budgeting, and excellent troubleshooting abilities.

Pay: $69,359.27-$133,197.45 per year
