Friends of Ruby is dedicated to supporting the well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-29 through mental health services, social programs, and housing. We operate a Youth Drop-In Centre, offering barrier-free counselling, hot meals, and community programming, and a Transitional Home, providing emergency and long-term housing with life-skills support.

About the Role
As a Junior IT Support Coordinator, you will:
- Serve as thefirst point of contact for IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues.
- SupportMicrosoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, TREAT, and other office applications.
- Set up and configure computers, printers, mobile devices, and IT equipment.
- Manage IT assets, track inventory, and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Work with the IT Support Analyst to escalate issues andsupport IT projects.
- Implement system updates, software rollouts, and security measures.
- Assist with onboarding by setting up accounts and providing IT orientation.
- Document common IT issues and provide informal training on cybersecurity and best practices.
What You Bring
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience inIT support, helpdesk, or a similar role (volunteer experience accepted).
- Proficiency in Windows & Mac OS, Microsoft 365 (O365), SharePoint, and Teams.
- Understanding of networking and security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred/Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified).
- Experience with IT asset management, helpdesk ticketing, and documentation.
- Familiarity with IT support in a non-profit or community-based setting.
