Role: Sr. Software Engineer

About The Role

This position will be a highly skilled, senior member of the team requiring a wide range of application development and application lifecycle knowledge following an Agile development methodology. Experience in developing and supporting a cloud-based SaaS application is required along with expert knowledge of a range of technologies including but not limited to JavaScript Frontend Frameworks such as Vue, JavaScript 3rd Party Add-ins, C#.NET, C#.NET Core, SQL Server, MVC, HTML5, and bootstrapper.js. Candidates without a strong background in frontend development with JavaScript Frameworks will not be considered.

This position is also responsible for leading and mentoring other developers on the team while supporting best practices and ensuring the applications meet quality standards for our user base. Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required so application needs, and defects are quickly identified and resolved through collaborative efforts with other Developers, Product Managers, and Testing/QA team members. This role will work with existing software products as well as future strategic development efforts.

Responsibilities

Translate requirements and user stories into functional applications
Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications using Javascript Frontend
Frameworks (Vue.js), C#, .Net and Object-Oriented techniques
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Database analysis and design using SQL Server
Participate in best practices in software development discussions
Participate in stand up, grooming, planning, demo, and retrospective meetings
At a minimum, the ability to work from (8:00, 8:30 or 9:00am) to (5:00, 5:30 or 6:00pm) Monday through Friday.
Regular consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after hour Company events.
Ability to accept supervision.
Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person.
Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company.

Required Skills

BS. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
C#, .Net Core, JavaScript, Vue.js or Angular, SQL Development, Azure experience.
15+ years of experience with C#, .Net Core 4.x, JavaScript Frontend Framework such as: Vue.js, React.js and/or Angular (Version 6+ preferred).
5+ years of experience of application architecture design.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL 2018 development.
2+ years of experience developing in Microservices.
2+ years of experience in Azure.
Experience with various testing methodologies such as TDD/TAS/BDD/etc.
Experience writing unit tests with Postman.
Proven ability to effectively work independently or with a team as a software developer.
Proven ability to effectively articulate and communicate concerns, issues or inquires in a timely manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience working in the title insurance industry.
Experience with Code Repositories such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, GitHub, TFS.
Experience with Confluence.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies.
