Primary Purpose

Provide leadership, training and technical assistance to local education agencies for all programs and services assigned. Provide system design, application programming and development, application training and support services as needed by Region One Education Service Center and Local Education Agencies.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer related field from an accredited university

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years experience in progressively complex application development environments, preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills

Provide leadership for implementing best practices, processes, and technologies

Provide leadership in maintaining & upgrading applications

Strong working knowledge with the Application Development Life Cycle

Strong working knowledge of IIS Webserver & ASP.NET using C#

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server & Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions

Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes

The ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time

Ability to utilize technology for teaching, learning and communication

Ability to function as a member of a team

Effective organizational and presentation skills

Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Position available "immediately". Sr. Software Engineer position is on Pay Grade 104of Region One ESC's Professional Salary Schedule. The total salary range is $73,030 - $101,890. A $5,000 stipend is also added to the position. In addition, a stipend in the amount of $1,500 shall apply to Pay Grade 104 as an educational achievement differential for a Master's degree. Initial salary is dependent upon the successful applicant's relevant experience and education; plus eligible benefits. Holidays include 33 days off, including two weeks in December, two weeks in Summer, a week in March, and a week in November
