Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live in the state of Indiana or within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations.

Executive Advisor-Cyber Recovery Architect

The Executive Advisor-Cyber Recovery Architect develops strategic and tactical recovery plans for the comprehensive enterprise-wide information security program. The role will lead the development of policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other infrastructure elements necessary to support information security recovery objectives. This development is performed in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls. This architectural role is also responsible for evaluating and monitoring the business continuity and resilience of strategic security and access controls and ensuring the integrity of mission critical applications.

How You Will Make An Impact

Establishes architecture oversight and business continuity planning for information and network security technologies supporting Cybersecurity Threat Management.
Leads the development of an information security risk management program that includes business, regulatory, and industry practices, as well as technical environment and tooling considerations of the Cyber Defense and Security Analytics department.
Establishes strategic vendor relationships for security products and services.
Develops robust enterprise-wide security incident response plans and strategies that include integration with business, compliance, privacy, and legal constituents and requirements.
Provides advanced level engineering design functions with the ability to provide problem resolution and serve as a technical escalation point.
Creates and communicates presentations which advocate IT and business management approval and acceptance of significant changes of major security technologies serving the Enterprise.
Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers and analysts within the organization.
Participates in the design of the enterprise architecture with a focus on recovery and resilience of proposed technologies and processes.
Proposes opportunities to improve recovery results based on targeted or continuous assessment.
Researches relevant trends and activities in healthcare, business, competition, and regulatory environments; recommends strategic adjustments.
Participates in enterprise planning activities including vendor assessment, technology platform selection & retirement, prioritization, and integration.
Evaluates business continuity and resilience capabilities and impact of mergers and acquisitions to the enterprise.
Routinely acts as a subject matter expert for executive management.
Evaluates effects of enterprise changes against the operational capabilities and tooling of threat management and defense.
Must be capable of providing top-tier support for six or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security.

Department Specific Responsibilities

Represents information security design interests and requirements in collaboration with Business Continuity and Enterprise IT staff on product evaluations, selection, recommendations, and implementation.
Supports the integration of cyber threat management and defense tools and processes into the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams.
Enables thought leadership expertise in cyber security and resiliency architectures and best practices.
Develops and maintains incident handling playbooks that engage cross-discipline workflows. (e.g., Information Security and Enterprise Technology Backup and Recovery teams).
Facilitates and participates in workshops focused on various threat modeling initiatives.
Promotes learning and education of cyber resiliency practices and procedures within cyber security staff. (i.e., compiles and shares relevant product and process knowledge).
Maintains awareness of cyber security threats to inform action with stakeholders.
Develops and maintains clear procedures and communication guidelines to reduce recovery time while limiting the impact of data loss or ongoing threat persistence.
Generates recommendations to close identified security gaps or weaknesses.

Minimum Requirements

Requires BS/BA in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years' experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people; experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And Experiences

Experience with multiple technical and business disciplines strongly preferred.
Broad-based experience in planning, designing, and securing highly complex systems is strongly preferred.
Expert knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted data processing controls and concepts strongly preferred as exemplified by security certifications: CISSP preferred and other advanced technical security certifications (e.g., Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, Information Systems Security Engineering Professional, Certification and Accreditation or equivalent certifications).
Demonstrates critical thinking and analysis to produce results in process or technology improvements strongly preferred.
Experience with threat modeling and supporting frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF) strongly preferred.
Competencies in writing to support documentation and process management strongly preferred.
Awareness of core cyber security threats, specifically those that impact data integrity and accessibility strongly preferred.
Familiarity with data warehousing and storage principles strongly preferred.
Incident handling experience with direct engagement with response and mitigation teams strongly preferred.
Previous experience in business continuity or resilience planning for large enterprises strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly across disciplines strongly preferred.
Ability to self-manage time to achieve project deadlines strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $139,520 to $251,136
