The Sr. IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to retail stores, and ensuring smooth operation of all IT systems. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

The Opportunity
ERP System Management:
- Maintain and update all IT systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and back-office applications.
- Customize and optimize ERP modules to meet the specific needs of various departments.
- Monthly site visits to all locations in GTA to monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to identify and resolve potential issues.
Cybersecurity Management:
- Develop and implement the company's cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive customer and business data.
- Prepare educational documentation to staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity across the retail environment.
- Implement and manage backup technologies including disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and repair of all retail hardware, including computers, printers, iPads, and peripherals.
- Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations and internal policies
- Conduct training sessions for staff on the proper use of IT systems and software applications.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with vendors for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- Update and maintain Microsoft Excel programs (VBA, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas) as required by Management
Technical Support:
- Provide timely and effective L3 technical support to retail store staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop technical documentation of configuration and operational procedures for service operations teams (build & runbooks) & technical specifications.
- Track, manage, and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting backup technologies and related systems and storage products.
- Strong technical background of IT systems, including networks, servers, and databases.
- Minimum of 2 years of IT experience administrating and supporting server and cloud infrastructure.
- Must have solid understanding of Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL)
- 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing IT support role.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Certification (Microsoft 365, Apple, Google) is a plus.
