As a Junior IT Specialist at Novatek International, you will play a crucial role in supporting our IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. Working closely with our senior team members, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a diverse range of IT tasks, from troubleshooting technical issues to implementing new technologies. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Perform routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain Active Directory and Office 365 Accounts.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
- Assist in the implementation of IT projects, including software/hardware upgrades, system migrations, and network expansions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
- Maintain company-wide disaster recovery plans.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the IT industry, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably in a small to medium-sized company.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows platforms.
- Experience with basic network troubleshooting and configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with ITIL framework or other IT service management practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English (French is a nice to have).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality support to end-users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work with employees or customers located in different time zones.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Additional Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere).
- Working knowledge of SQL/Oracle database Management.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS and Azure).
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, SQL).
- Experience with IT security principles and practices.
