We are seeking an experienced AI Governance Advisor to support and enhance an established enterprise AI Governance program within a highly regulated environment. This role offers the opportunity to influence responsible AI adoption and collaborate with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Privacy, Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and Business teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in governance, risk management, controls, and compliance, combined with hands-on experience supporting AI governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance AI governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls
- Conduct AI risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support the implementation and maturation of AI governance operating models and oversight processes
- Create and maintain governance documentation, procedures, and control frameworks
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure responsible AI practices are embedded across the organization
- Assess and manage AI-related risks, including data, technology, privacy, compliance, vendor, and model risks
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards related to AI governance
- Support governance reviews and AI use case assessments
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in AI Governance, Data Governance, Technology Governance, Technology Risk, Information Governance, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, or a related discipline
- Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and operating models
- Hands-on involvement in AI governance initiatives, AI oversight programs, or responsible AI programs
- Strong understanding of technology, data, and AI-related risks
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing governance controls within complex enterprise environments
- Proven ability to develop governance documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within financial services, insurance, pension, consulting, or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and standards such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OECD AI Principles, or the EU AI Act
- Experience supporting model governance, AI use case governance, or emerging AI technologies
