Overview
Ensure the protection of the technological infrastructure and compliance with global information security standards (ISO 27001/27002) by identifying risks, implementing security controls, and executing cybersecurity initiatives. This is based on International best practices and GITSS policies, to guarantee operational continuity, system availability and updates, and the protection of critical data.
Duties
- Apply procedures and controls that ensure compliance with Global IT Security Standards (GITSS), legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and analyses, as well as self-assessments for various IT systems and processes.
- Implement practices for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities and potential threats.
- Update and monitor cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring their systematic review.
- Promote and follow up on the company-wide cybersecurity training program.
- Stay up to date on security trends through training and research.
- Apply cybersecurity policies in the execution of actions, processes, and procedures.
- Verify the effective implementation of security controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and global standards.
- Collaborate in the evaluation of tools for monitoring, detection, and remediation of vulnerabilities, system updates, and process automation aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
- Execute critical activities according to established schedules, prioritizing tasks based on departmental needs.
- Review the knowledge base of first- and second-level support teams and contribute to meeting agreed service levels (SLA).
- Prepare reports according to IT Management and company needs, ensuring timely delivery and policy deployment.
- Provide technical support when required.
- Perform other related duties inherent to the position as assigned, in accordance with the nature of the role.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in roles related to information security, infrastructure support, or systems administration.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 and/or certification.
- Certification in cybersecurity management (preferably CISSP or CISA).
- Experience in network and/or server administration and IT services, infrastructure support.
- Previous work in virtualized environments and experience in implementing international information security standards.
- Experience in container terminals or similar industrial sectors will be considered an asset.

Hours of Work:
This position is required to work for the most part from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The position will be required to be accessible and able to respond to inquiries and or emergencies on a 24/7 schedule; and be prepared to act/direct IT requirements at any time.
Compensation:
This is a full time, permanent salaried position with medical, dental and pension benefits; potential bonus opportunity.
