JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Jr. Endpoint Security Specialist to join a large banking client on a 12-month contract (with possible extension) working hybrid in Scarborough or downtown Toronto (3 days/week onsite). The successful candidate will support a microsegmentation initiative focused on improving network visibility and endpoint security across devices, with an initial rollout targeting ATM environments to address increasing security threats.
This individual will be responsible for helping kick off and execute a proof of concept (POC), partnering with internal teams to analyze security data, define segmentation strategies, and support full-scale rollout across the organization’s endpoint infrastructure. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 2+ years of experience in security operations, security monitoring, or IT operations/engineering within medium to large enterprises
• Strong hands-on experience with endpoint operating systems (Windows, Linux; Mac is an asset)
• Experience working with at least one of the following endpoint security tools:
○ EDR/AV tools (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon)
○ Privilege management/application control tools (e.g., BeyondTrust)
○ File Integrity Monitoring tools (e.g., Qualys FIM)
• Experience supporting endpoint security implementations or initiatives (e.g., segmentation, endpoint hardening, monitoring tools)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience working within the financial services industry
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
• Understanding of security/compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR)
• Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python)
• Experience building API-based integrations
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+) and/or a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Exposure to microsegmentation tools or initiatives (e.g., Alumio)
