About this role
Nuvex Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team in Lethbridge, AB. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends technical expertise with exceptional customer service. You will support a wide range of technologies across diverse client environments, including on-site visits, cabling, hardware installations, and ongoing system maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and network issues
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
- Travel on-site to client locations for installations, upgrades, and support
- Run cables and install outdoor networking equipment
- Deliver excellent customer service with a professional and approachable manner
- Document IT procedures and create clear, accurate user guides
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of IT support experience (required); 5+ years preferred
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
- Expertise in Windows 11, 10, and 7, macOS, and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, routing and switching, LANs, firewalls, and VPNs
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms: VMware and Hyper-V
- Experience with virus protection, endpoint security, and general cybersecurity practices
- Expertise in network cable installation and management
- Familiarity with Linux system administration tools and practices
- Valid driver’s license required
- Criminal record check required (provided by employer upon successful hire)
ASSETS
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification
- Microsoft certifications (any level)
- Experience with Ubiquiti and UniFi networking equipment

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
