Engagement Overview
Our client is seeking a senior-level IT consultant to conduct a comprehensive technical audit of their current environment and provide strategic recommendations for modernization and scalability.
This engagement is advisory in nature, focused on assessment, risk identification, and roadmap development rather than hands-on engineering work.
Duration: Part-time, approx. 80 to 100 hours
Team size: ~60 staff
Location: Preference for occasional onsite presence in New Westminster, but open to remote for the right consultant
Scope of Work
The consultant will lead a structured review of the client’s technology environment and deliver actionable insights.
Perform a full technical audit of the current IT environment
Review infrastructure, architecture, and overall system design
Assess cybersecurity posture, vulnerabilities, and controls
Evaluate software stack, databases, and system integrations
Review hardware lifecycle and refresh requirements
Identify single points of failure and operational risks
Assess cloud environment and scalability readiness
Review Microsoft and Google licensing utilization
Evaluate IT processes, governance, and vendor landscape
Provide strategic recommendations and modernization opportunities
Advise leadership on priorities, risks, and investment areas

Must-Haves
Proven experience conducting technical audits and environment reviews
Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, and IT operations
Ability to assess environments holistically across systems and processes
Experience identifying risks, including single points of failure
Ability to produce executive-level reports and recommendations
Nice to Have
Experience with both Microsoft and Google ecosystems
Exposure to infrastructure modernization initiatives
Experience evaluating SaaS and vendor environments
Not-for-profit experience is an asset
