Your New Role
As the Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering & Platforms, you will lead the global engineering, governance, and lifecycle management of our client’s cybersecurity platform ecosystem. Based in Toronto, ON with a worldwide mandate, you will oversee cybersecurity technologies that protect enterprise IT, cloud environments, Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation systems, data platforms, and emerging AI‑enabled solutions.
You will own the full lifecycle of our client's cybersecurity platforms—from strategic selection and engineering to integration, optimization, and technical debt reduction. A key focus of this role is ensuring that security tools operate as a connected, scalable, and resilient ecosystem, not isolated point solutions. You will establish and enforce enterprise‑wide cybersecurity engineering standards, secure design patterns, and technical guardrails that guide transformation initiatives across IT, OT, Digital, and Engineering.
Your leadership will shape how the organization applies Zero Trust principles, cloud‑native architectures, DevSecOps integration, and identity‑driven security across mission‑critical systems. Operating across hybrid and industrial environments, you will serve as the enterprise authority for secure architecture enablement and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the technical foundation that every cybersecurity function depends on.
What You'll Need to Succeed
You are an accomplished cybersecurity engineering and architecture leader with the depth, credibility, and experience to operate across global, complex, hybrid environments. You blend strategic thinking with hands‑on technical expertise and bring the leadership capability to drive engineering excellence across multiple security domains.
- 11–15 years in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or platform leadership
- Proven success leading complex engineering programs in hybrid IT/OT or industrial environments
- Deep knowledge of Zero Trust principles, identity security, cloud security architectures, and platform governance
- Strong experience establishing enterprise‑wide engineering standards and secure design patterns
- Demonstrated ability to lead global engineering teams and manage outsourced service providers
- Experience with Azure cloud security (preferred) and modern security tooling architectures
Technical Skills
- Cybersecurity platform engineering and lifecycle management
- Identity security, endpoint protection, PAM, SIEM/logging enablement
- Cloud security architecture & Zero Trust frameworks
- OT/ICS security integration
- DevSecOps, secure CI/CD governance
- Automation, scripting, and infrastructure‑as‑code
- AI/ML platform security patterns
- Threat modeling, architecture review, and risk analysis
Leadership Competencies
- Strategic influence across global, matrixed organizations
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration

Education
Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Advanced certifications such as: Microsoft SC‑100, AZ‑500, SC‑300, SANS GDSA or GCSA, CCSP, SABSA,CISSP
