Reporting to the Senior Manager, AI, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, the Supervisor, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, coordination, and technical oversight of the Town’s enterprise technology infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. This role provides direct supervision to a team of technical professionals and serves as a senior technical resource, ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of technology services that support municipal operations.
This role requires a unique combination of leadership, business, and advanced technical expertise, including operational planning, incident management, cybersecurity governance, and the ability to build strong partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Supervisor leads the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of infrastructure systems and cybersecurity controls, while driving operational excellence and service reliability across the organization.
Duties for this progressive leadership role include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, performance management, training, and development of infrastructure and cybersecurity technical staff, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented, and security-aware culture.
- Coordinate and oversee the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise infrastructure including data centres, servers, storage systems, LAN/WAN networks, wireless systems, firewalls, identity systems, and cloud platforms.
- Provide tier-three technical leadership and incident management for complex system outages, performance issues, and cybersecurity events.
- Lead the Town’s cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint detection and response, and incident response planning, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup systems, including design, testing, documentation, and ongoing operational readiness.
- Lead technical documentation development, standard operating procedures, training materials, and operational playbooks.
- Plan, manage, and deliver infrastructure and cybersecurity projects, including research, solution design, budgeting input, implementation, and vendor coordination.
- Oversee vendor contracts, ensure compliance with service level agreements, and manage external service providers.
- Collaborate with internal departments, participate on cross-functional project teams, and provide expert advice and technical guidance to staff and leadership across the organization.
- Support financial management, procurement processes, operational reporting, and annual work planning activities.

What You Bring To Our Team
As The Successful Applicant, You Must Possess
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in administering and supporting enterprise infrastructure and Cyber Security or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, ITIL Foundation, and CISM are preferred, Microsoft 365/Azure, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical staff in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Advanced technical expertise in:
- Enterprise LAN/WAN networks, routing, switching, wireless systems, and firewall platforms
- Virtualized and physical server environments, storage systems (NAS/SAN), and backup technologies
- Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including identity management, Exchange, SharePoint, and tenant administration
- Endpoint management, mobile device management, and enterprise security platforms
- Identity and Access Management (IAM), privileged access controls, and multi-factor authentication
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including CIS and NIST.
- Proven experience in vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including research, planning, budgeting input, vendor coordination, and implementation.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, prioritize competing demands, and make sound technical and operational decisions.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to motivate staff and build effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
- Excellent oral, written, documentation, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a highly complex technical environment while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and service excellence
Salary Range/Hourly Rate
$123,123.00 - $139,912.00
