Cybersecurity GRC Analyst to support governance, risk, and compliance activities across our client's enterprise environment. This role focuses on access governance, directory hygiene, control assurance, and audit readiness and is ideal for professionals who excel at executing structured processes, validating technical controls, and maintaining high standards of compliance.
The Cybersecurity GRC Analyst will work closely with IT service owners, business stakeholders, and audit teams to ensure security controls operate effectively user access remains compliant, and governance processes are consistently followed.

Responsibilities:
- Execute recurring access reviews (SOX, privileged access, standard users) in alignment with approved access models and regulatory requirements.
- Validate and monitor user account lifecycle activities, including group membership, stale accounts, and domain hygiene issues.
- Ensure all access governance tasks follow documented procedures and produce complete, auditable evidence.
- Administer cybersecurity governance processes, ensuring controls are executed consistently and deviations are identified and escalated.
- Conduct routine control-based risk assessments, focusing on gaps, misconfigurations, and breakdowns in processes.
- Monitor technical and administrative controls to ensure they function as designed and generate verifiable results.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve access discrepancies, hygiene issues, and control deficiencies.
- Address issues stemming from operational processes or third-party dependencies.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding risks, findings, and required actions.
- Maintain detailed logs, documentation, and governance records to support audits and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare audit evidence, respond to auditor inquiries, and support remediation activities.
- Produce clear, concise documentation of findings, access issues, and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT controls, audit, or compliance roles, with emphasis on governance and technical control execution.
- Hands-on understanding of identity and access management and account monitoring in large enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, SOX), especially in control execution.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT environments, directories, infrastructure platforms, and business applications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS from a governance or access control perspective.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline-or equivalent experience.
- Strong process discipline with ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, and deliver repeatable, auditable outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in oil & gas or other highly regulated industries.
- Practical familiarity with Active Directory governance and enterprise IT control environments.
- Exposure to IT audit, control testing, issue tracking, and remediation processes.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
