We are URGENTLY seeking an OT/SCADA Cybersecurity Specialist for a 6 month contract (may convert to permanent) resource to help support a range of cyber security initiatives. MUST have OT/SCADA
cybersecurity experience.
The following is a list of desirable skills and experience that would assist with the role; however, not all are required.
Cyber Security Competencies
Patch Management
- Hands-on experience with patch management programs, including automated patch deployment.

Ability to assess patch impacts, coordinate maintenance windows, and verify successful remediation.
Vulnerability Management
- Proficiency with vulnerability scanning and identification tools.

Experience analyzing findings, prioritizing remediation based on risk, and working with technical teams to implement corrective actions.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Experience with SIEM platforms for log ingestion, correlation, alerting, and dashboard creation.

Splunk experience is considered a strong asset.
Log Management
- Knowledge of strategies and tools for centralized event log collection from servers, endpoints, network devices, and OT equipment.

Experience developing or supporting log retention, normalization, and monitoring practices.
Cyber Risk Assessment
- Ability to identify and articulate technical cyber risks across software, hardware, and hosted services.

Experience evaluating threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts to support risk-based decision making.
Incident Response
- Familiarity with incident response processes, including detection, triage, containment, eradication, and recovery activities.

Ability to assist with documentation, root-cause analysis, and lessons-learned.
Identity and Access Management
- Experience with Active Directory administration, including user lifecycle management, role-based access, group policy, and privileged account controls.
General Technical Experience
Systems and Infrastructure Support
- Broad experience supporting computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

Server administration capabilities, including Windows Server and associated services.
Virtualization Platforms
- Experience working with virtual machines within virtualized environments (Hyper-V and VMware ESXi).

Ability to support VM deployment, configuration, snapshots, and resource optimization.
Backup and Recovery Solutions
- Experience with enterprise backup tools, job scheduling, retention policies, and recovery testing.
Additional Assets
- Experience working within Operational Technology (OT) environments, such as industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, or critical infrastructure, is a significant asset.
