SOC Cybersecurity Analyst:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a SOC Cybersecurity Analyst for a permanent role. This position is onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

SOC Cybersecurity Analyst - Job Description:
The SOC Cybersecurity Analyst will join the SOC team to conduct advanced threat analysis, validate and respond to security incidents, and enhance detection capabilities. This role is critical in protecting client’s assets by applying threat intelligence, refining response playbooks, and supporting continuous improvement of SOC Operations.

SOC Cybersecurity Analyst - Responsibilities:

Investigate escalated alerts or incidents using established procedures and analytical tools
Execute containment steps and resolve security events to maintain system integrity
Manage incident lifecycle: prioritize, categorize, document investigations, escalate unresolved issues, and coordinate recovery and closure
Provide feedback for alert tuning and perform routine threat intelligence tasks
Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot escalated access issues within SLA commitments
Assist in implementing and monitoring security policies, protocols, and compliance standards
Support threat detection and response by validating detection during simulations

SOC Cybersecurity Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and system administration/hardening across multiple platforms
Hands-on experience with network protocols and SIEM log analysis
Experience with endpoint telemetry tools and incident detection/response techniques
Understanding attacker TTPs and mapping detection to MITRE ATT&CK
Experience in report writing

SOC Cybersecurity Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:

Cybersecurity Professional Certification (e.g., CC, GSEC, GCIH)
IT Service Management Certification (e.g., ITIL Foundations)
Experience in information assurance activities
Experience in collaborating on incidents involving employee data or policy violations
Familiarity with threat intelligence and investigation guides
