IT Business Analyst:
On behalf of our cybersecurity client, Procom is searching for an IT Business Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

IT Business Analyst - Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven IT Business Analyst experienced in transitioning cybersecurity services to a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). This role involves supporting the planning and execution of services to ensure a seamless migration of operational security capabilities to the contracted MSSP.

IT Business Analyst - Responsibilities:

Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of security team functional and non-functional requirements related to managed security services.
Develop current-state and future-state security service models, including processes, workflows, roles, and responsibilities.
Support vendor onboarding, offboarding, or transition initiatives, ensuring continuity of security controls and services.
Work closely with the security team to develop, review, and maintain security standards, procedures, and operational playbooks.
Support contract interpretation by translating contractual obligations into operational requirements and deliverables.
Produce high-quality documentation, including requirements, process flows, standards, procedures, and transition artifacts.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and technical teams to drive project success.

IT Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience in complex IT initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to articulate requirements and translate to technical requirements.
Experience with Managed Security Service Provider.
Experience with cybersecurity compliance requirements and frameworks (NIST, CIS, etc.).

IT Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:

Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA).
Experience in cybersecurity programs.
Understanding of managed security delivery models.
Experience in security operations.
Knowledge of regulatory and contractual obligations in cybersecurity.

IT Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility for extension.

IT Business Analyst - Start Date:
ASAP.

IT Business Analyst - Assignment Location:
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
