About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Account Manager to oversee customer relationships and growth opportunities within the healthcare facilities market. This role focuses on delivering technology-driven building solutions and ensuring clients receive exceptional support throughout their engagement.
You’ll be responsible for nurturing long-standing client partnerships while also identifying and developing new business with healthcare organizations. The position requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to understand technical offerings related to building systems.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare clients, ensuring you understand their operational and technology needs.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts while expanding your network within the healthcare community.
- Collaborate with internal operations and technical teams to promptly resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Track sales activity, account updates, and opportunities using CRM tools.
- Pursue new business by engaging decision-makers across different levels—from technical staff to senior leadership.
- Identify customer priorities and align them with relevant building technology solutions.
- Stay knowledgeable about the products and technologies you represent and help customers navigate their modernization or upgrade initiatives.
- Manage contract renewals and promote additional services to expand account value.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts and contribute to pricing and win strategies.
- Work with colleagues nationwide to share learnings and replicate successful approaches.
- Negotiate agreements and close opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
Required Background
- Postsecondary education in a technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Building systems or automation
- HVAC controls
- Access control
- Fire detection systems
- CCTV or security technologies
- Valid G-class driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or accreditation in building sciences or relevant technology fields
- Experience managing high-value accounts using a consultative sales approach
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels—technical teams, finance, procurement, senior executives
- Familiarity with recurring service offerings such as cybersecurity support, analytics platforms, or predictive maintenance
- Direct experience working with healthcare clients (hospitals or long-term care)
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- History of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confident understanding of how customer challenges align with building system solutions
- Ability to work independently while contributing to broader team efforts
- Engagement with local professional or industry groups
