Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. You will analyze security incidents, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and a passion for safeguarding digital assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats using tools such as Nmap and firewall systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Implement security protocols for cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Analyze security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage Active Directory and ensure secure access controls across the organization.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python for automation of security tasks.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, IPsec, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with operating systems including MacOS and Windows environments.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
