Company Description:
CST Canada Coal Limited is a Alberta based metallurgical coal mining company located in the MD of Greenview close to the community of Grande Cache.
PURPOSE
This position is responsible to develop and establish objectives for CST. CST wants to combine digitalization and e-commerce innovation with traditional CEO responsibilities, to transform a traditional mining company into a modern, competitive and sustainable industry leader.

This position is based in
Grande Cache, Alberta. There is no remote option. Please be advised there are no camp facilities available. All employees who are based at the mine site will qualify for a Living out Allowance Benefit.

- Digital Transformation Leadership
- Spearhead the adoption of advanced digital technologies to optimize exploration, extraction, processing, and logistics.
- Oversee the implementation of predictive maintenance systems and automated equipment to improve operational efficiency and safety.
- Ensure the integration of data analytics platforms for real-time decision-making and performance monitoring.
- E-Commerce and Market Innovation
- Develop and implement strategies to digitize sales channels, enabling direct-to-customer (DTC) sales, enhanced customer engagement, and streamlined e-commerce platforms.
- Explore opportunities for online marketplaces to trade raw materials, surplus inventory, or mining equipment, increasing market reach.
- Leverage digital marketing strategies to promote sustainability initiatives, build brand reputation, and attract eco-conscious stakeholders.
- Sustainability and Innovation Advocacy
- Lead efforts to integrate sustainable mining practices, supported by digital tools to monitor environmental impact and resource usage.
- Promote innovation in green mining technologies and renewable energy adoption.
- Ensure compliance with global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards through transparent reporting facilitated by digital tools.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain open communication with shareholders, emphasizing the company’s commitment to digitalization management, growth and e-commerce development.
- Operational Excellence and Efficiency
- Lead initiatives digital system to supply chain management, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.
- Oversee the adoption of smart mining platforms for enhanced productivity and reduced downtime.
- Monitor KPIs related to digital transformation and continuously refine processes based on performance metrics.
- Cybersecurity and Risk Management
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive data and mining infrastructure.
- Mitigate risks associated with the digitalization of operations and e-commerce platforms.
- Talent Development and Workforce Digital Skills
- Champion the upskilling and reskilling of employees to adapt to digital technologies and e-commerce trends.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the organization.
- Financial Oversight with a Focus on Digital Investments
- Oversee budgeting and financial performance, prioritizing investments in digital tools, automation, and e-commerce platforms.
- Drive cost efficiency through digital solutions

Education, Experience And Qualifications
- A university degree in business administration, commerce, computer science or other discipline related to the service provided is required.
- At least 4 years experience as a middle manager
- Having Digitalization and E-Commerce Innovation experience beneficial
- Mine experience beneficial
- Strong communication skills and leadership
