Job Title: IT Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team. This is a hybrid (work from home/in office) position with some onsite requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
- Provide technical support to end-users via remote tools and onsite visits (helpdesk/triage).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
- Install, configure, manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security and backups.
- Perform regular system updates, backups checks, and test restores.
- Document technical procedures and solutions.
Secondary:
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives (client facing and internal).
- Monitor and maintain personal IT inventory
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and reliability.
- Provide training to clients and staff on IT systems and software as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Education: Certificate or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Managed IT Support or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Intune, and other related services.
- Experience with network administration and troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., 365, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with IT service management (PSA and RMM) tools (e.g., Autotask, Datto, or similar).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and existing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
