Knowledge and Experience:
- 8 years’ experience in IT, strong background in IT infrastructure design and resolving operational constraints (physical/virtual/wireless/cellular network, cloud, cybersecurity, VMware, SCADA and operational technologies)
- 6 years of demonstrated technical leadership abilities and project leadership and/or management experience which is directly related to the line of work of this position
- 6 years of implementation and sustainment of the enterprise services hosted on-premise as well as within cloud based IaaS, PaaS and/or SaaS environment (Microsoft Azure is a must, Amazon Web Services is a plus).
- 6 years of supporting geographically disconnected networks, to meet or exceed stringent contractual/corporate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) – 4 9s and/or 5 9s availability.
- 5 years of supporting the enterprise adaptation of the NIST FIPS 140 & SP 800, ISO 27001/27002, CIS, PCI-DSS cybersecurity framework and implementation methodologies (prior DoD DISA STiG, DoD DIACAP/RMF, CIS v7 support are acceptable)
- 5 years’ experience in managing multiple locations to include the development and deployment of network event management/monitoring tools to assess the operational health of the network, circuits, and infrastructure devices.
- Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college in computer science/engineering, information technology, or a related field of study.
- Graduate degree from an accredited university or college in computer science, information technology or a related field of study is preferred.
- Active Professional Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a must, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is a Plus
- Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate is a must
- Fortinet NSE Certification Levels Technical is a must, Advanced/Expert is a Plus
- Knowledge/ exposure to onboard equipment systems (DriveCam/ CAD AVL/ etc. is preferred)
- Experience in identifying technical feasibility and POC/testing/deploying innovative solutions
- Experience with cloud automation languages and tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Experience deploying, operating, and configuring Cisco, Fortinet suite of network devices
- Experience running and maintaining complex Enterprise IT systems
- Experience in Network Engineering, including one or more of the following: Cisco CLI, Routing and Switching, Subnetting, and HyperVisor software
- A strong understanding of computer networking principles (OSI layers, Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs)
- A strong understanding of cyber security tools (SIEM, Proxy, AV, EDR, DLP, HID/NID, HIP/NIP, Forensics)

Key Accountabilities:
IT Infrastructure
- Serves as the principal network engineering & 24x7x365 sustainment lead for properties assigned (supporting in the Keolis , which is the installation focal point for voice and data communications providing KNA-wide network services.
- Provides input and support hands-on support for operational coordination for configuration management plans for complex local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs).
- Evaluates network software, hardware, bandwidth, and communications link, specification and installation. Analyzes, assesses and interprets the LAN/WAN user and administrator requirements for software to be used in the future.
- Adhere to and support evaluation of policies and procedures
- IT Security
- Address escalated Site/Companywide outages via helpdesk
- Maintain reliable infrastructure for business continuity
- Manage Vendor’s responsibility and enforce agreed SLA
- Upkeep Documentation for Services and Infrastructure
Solution Delievery
- Serves as a project manager leading studies to identify and determine network administrative and technical requirements, network architecture, infrastructure and facilities necessary for upgrading components and/or consolidating regional networks.
- Support procurement and digital solutions leadership in evaluation of adherence to technical relationship with vendors
- Report on accountable daily progress of project status in development
- Identify and escalating infrastructure budget to Director/VP
- Advise budget, project and change control within the organization.
- Build an infrastructure/systems roadmap that will help define the technical business plan
- Support and enforce client and vendor facing SLA’s alongside procurement to avoid interruption in business continuity.
Technical Subject Leadership
- Evaluate and assess current state infrastructure against changing market trends to realize cost optimization
- Conducts cost benefit analyses and total cost of ownership and capacity studies.
- Prepares study summaries for comparison of alternatives pertinent to the economic justification of costs, time and equipment usage and generates complex queries and reports.
Client relationship and external relationships
- Accountable for infrastructure risk mitigation in support of contractual delivery of service to clients, compliance and other as needed.
- Act as a support business liaison with other workstreams and peers.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery against the contract within the shareholder expectations to develop win-win outcomes for operator and client in accordance with our value of ‘we commit’.
