About the Role

EHN Canada Inc. is looking for a Network Administration Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working collaboratively across each of our locations. You will configure, deploy, and support our organizations core tools and systems with an emphasis on efficiency within our secure SaaS environment.

You will be a member of our growing Technology team which is flexible in support a growing, diverse group of educators, advocates, and community organizers. This role means to make a difference: you will part of a team that maintains the backbone of a rapidly growing organization. Having a mindset that focuses on cyber security is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Builds and manages a network administration team across EHN Canada; providing suggestions on how to improve operations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with customer business applications, system access, desktop hardware, and network communication, both onsite and remotely.
Experience supporting a corporate, technology-based environment with 400 - 500 users/workstations in a multi-site environment
Configure/troubleshoot and support all aspect of O365 environment and applications
Windows workstation installation and configuration
Provide technical support for:
Applications: E-mail, calendar, office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, project), browsers, as well as department-specific applications. Client technologies: Macintosh, Windows, tablets, cell phones, wireless devices, video/audio conferencing and printing solutions Networking: Provide support for advanced network desktop configurations: LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN.
Extensive experience with SharePoint:

Configures SharePoint services and settings, documents SharePoint configuration and architecture, administers and maintains sites and sub-sites
Assist with the redesign of our SharePoint environment
Provides SharePoint support to end users

Working knowledge of VMWare
Developing and maintaining relevant procedures and standards
Ensuring that hardware and systems work as expected and maintain archives as needed
Manage all patches and upgrades to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
Updating and maintaining security principals while following strict privacy policies
Monitor/analyze and report on security threats and vulnerabilities
Conduct assessments of network environment and frequently monitor logs and computer traffic
Coordinate update initiatives to avoid security contingencies
Configure and troubleshoot network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Setup and management of servers and network appliances (including fax/print servers)
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Diploma of Technology, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
CompTIA A+ Certification - Preferred
Microsoft Office Specialist (MCSE) – Preferred
Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and SQL.
Intermediate level network knowledge of TCP/IP Networks, Routing/Switching/VLAN, DNS/DHCP, MS PowerShell, Active Directory and SSL/TLS
Experience administrating Ubiquiti Unifi, Sonicwall, HP network products (firewalls, switches, and/or wireless access points)
Detailed knowledge of monitoring servers and network equipment, including but not limited to: remote access, SNMP, email alerting and Windows event log.
Advanced understanding of current and past Microsoft server operating systems
Advanced understanding of core IT infrastructure and systems including but not limited to Active Directory/Group Policy, virtualization, SAN storage, and networking equipment
Working knowledge of VoIP phone systems and phone related technologies
Advanced understanding of information security and best practices
Knowledge of access control and camera systems
Ability to manage and maintain server anti-virus systems
Intermediate skill in PowerShell v3 or higher
Proven experience working with the TCP/IP stacks and related services.
Experience with administering corporate wired and wireless infrastructure
Proven experience working with DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing schemes.
Secure communications (e.g. encrypting emails, files and internet web sites).

Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
Microsoft 365: 5 years (Required)
Azure: 3 years (Preferred)
Active Directory: 3 years (Preferred)

Experience with the following is beneficial:

Ability to communicate in French
Knowledge of Quickbooks
Knowledge of security camera systems
Knowledge of ticketing systems (Zoho)
Superior problem-solving skills with extensive attention to detail

Working Conditions:

Usually work regular business hours but may require evenings and weekends to complete projects or maintenance on systems
Participate in after-hours on call program for response to urgent issues
Work in offices, facilities, environmentally controlled server rooms
May require travel to remote sites, conferences and/or seminars
Lifting items up to 22 pounds may be routinely required
