The Opportunity

We are currently looking to hire an IT Specialist in Edmonton, AB. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well versed IT professional looking to support a purpose driven and growth oriented workforce.

Reporting to the Director, Facilities & Operational Excellence, the IT Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the IT infrastructure at CarePros. The IT Specialist supports staff and management with technical needs and infrastructure of daily operations with knowledgeable, timely assistance. The IT Specialist ensures that systems security maintains full confidentiality of CarePros business and employee/client sensitive information. In order to meet CarePros system goals, the IT Specialist assists the technology department by planning and executing action steps for solving system issues and improving upon current systems. Here are few key responsibilities listed below:

· Provide support and with help desk tasks such as new hire setups, new hire account and user creation, and deliver new hire IT training as required.

· Assist staff with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of Laptops, Desktop computers, Printers, peripheral equipment, and software.

· Provide support as required to manage escalated tickets for system end users.

· Responsible for solving system issues, ability to work with the IT team to plan and execute action items and adhere to delivery timelines.

· Responsible for all IT asset management, monitoring and keeping track of all CarePros issued devices.

· Monitor overall process by making sure there are no ‘green’ errors/issues, as well as, reviewing logs, and monitoring detailed logs for possible future issues.

· Monitor security for phishing training, security logs, and system warnings to ensure confidentiality is maintained and functionality of CarePros business information and systems continues.

· Responsible for recording request log, issues, and changes to IT systems to ensure accurate reporting of IT actions.

· Make recommendations on efficiency improvements and changes to IT infrastructure to better accomplish CarePros system goals.

· Liaise with staff with hardware support and riding of the network to help mitigate system errors.

· Support with IT project work such as new software, office changes, and new hire training as required.

· Provide assistance on IT-related and non-IT projects as assigned in order to contribute knowledge as a subject matter expert.

Who You Are

You enjoy contributing strategically to organizational growth as an IT subject matter expert, providing advice and assistance in all aspects of CarePros business.

You possess the following education, experience, and skills:

· 3+ years of IT Support Desk experience is required.

· Graduates of Post-secondary IT programs from NAIT, or similar, including fast-track programs involving computer system technology, networking, technical service and deskside support.

· Strong competence in the Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office.

· Understanding of IT Cyber Security and related issues is required.

· Experience managing healthcare data in a high security setting is considered an asset.

· Experience operating and supporting a remote or distributed workforce.

Demonstrated troubleshooting and research skills is required.
