Summary

Botkeeper is looking for an experienced software engineer to join our team and help us build the world’s most advanced artificial bookkeeping platform. You will help drive technical innovation by acquiring expertise in one or more of the domains in which Botkeeper operates (accounts payable, accounts receivable, transaction categorization, etc..). A successful candidate will be a skilled collaborator and team player who is passionate about technology.

Responsibilities

Develop secure and scalable software to automate business processes
Participate in the architecture, design, and development of large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services
Develop core technology and the refinement of existing code
Participate in the full software development life cycle, end-to-end, from scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation and testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance, using best practice engineering standards
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to maintain a quality codebase
Develop RESTful web services to support data-driven web applications

Skills

5+ years of software development experience
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (Node.js)
Familiarity with Python programming language
Extensive experience in designing, building, and consuming REST APIs
Experience with technology challenges trying to scale applications 10x
Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design - Microservices and Bounded Contexts
Good communication and collaboration skills
