About
I am a 14-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, who has recently completed the Cyber Security Architect certificate program through the University of Ottawa Professional Development Institute. Having successfully passed the CISSP exam, I am looking for opportunities to gain the final year of work experience needed to fully certify.
Within the military, I held several roles where I was responsible for analyzing complex problems and presenting the key takeaways to executive-level decision makers. I am skilled at report writing, with some of my work being used to inform senior government officials, both domestically and internationally. I also have significant experience in incident management, working in operations centres of various sizes to monitor incoming intelligence and situation reports, assess their impact, devise response solutions and inform key stakeholders.
I am comfortable with many of the duties of a Security Operations Centre Tier 1 Analyst, including log investigation within a SIEM platform, such as Splunk, and using Wireshark to conduct deeper investigations. I have also participated in a Vulnerability Assessment for a charitable organization, in which penetration testing tools such as Nmap, Metasploit, and Nikto were used to assess the security of a web application, following the OWASP Web Application Testing Guide.
I look forward to connecting with you!
