Specifically, I have done this by understanding the importance of the end user experiences and how to make it better to ultimately achieve business goals. As a Digital Health Transformation Consultant for the region of Peel, I spearheaded an end-to-end digital health transformation strategy to prepare, equip and support 8 public health services program implementation teams and end users to configure and train their staff on how to adopt the new Electronic Medical Records (EMR). To accomplish this, I assessed the organizational structures, governance, and admin processes, user experience, clinical perspectives and program needs of 200 public health program staff with a total 16 focus groups, 80 design thinking workshops, and 32 feedback surveys. Then, I designed stakeholder roadmaps and client/user experience journey roadmaps to clarify personas, roles, responsibilities and the impacts to a person’s job caused by the proposed changes. Subsequently, I recommended examining the relationship employee retention, health outcomes and union resistance as key performance indicators (KPIs) to the executive program sponsor based on the outcomes of my gap analysis, change impact, readiness, and adoption assessment findings, which identified cultural resistance due poor user experience and low satisfaction i.e. duplicate client records, and time-consuming data entry, issues with two-factor authentication and inefficient clinical workflows among health care workers. As a result, our findings indictated that healthcare information technology decisions were based heavily on the preferences of IT professionals and IT administrators, then clinicians. The involvement of clinicians in every step of the process from EMR vendor selection to launch, is crucial to ensure successful adoption. My ability to manage organizational change, cross-functionally, using an agile approach, saves valuable time for my clients. I am confident that this ability will be key to success in the Organization Change Management Consultant role. I collaborate across business lines, counsel IT project teams, and liaise with external vendors to identify adoption and usability opportunities that can be integrated staff, client, or the end user’s daily routine. Furthermore, as an Instructional Designer and Corporate Technical Trainer, I have been recognized for educating non-technical end users on the latest technology and software by simplifying complex technology concepts into plain language. I honed this ability on a recent engagement with Scotiabank, where I conducted a training needs analysis, produced instructional design content, and collaborated with key stakeholders to produce eLearning content and instructor led courses. To achieve maximum effectiveness, I leveraged enterprise branding and design principles to create infographics and concise training resource materials. In addition, I liaised with executives, management, and staff to analyze stakeholder personas to ensure deliverables aligned with their needs. Finally, I facilitated design thinking, and training content development workshops ensure organizational alignment.
