About
Joe Shachaf is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with over fifteen years of experience in developing, owning, and leading enterprise security programs for SaaS, cloud, and data-centric companies. Joe focuses on supporting high-growth technology companies in developing secure products, platforms, and environments while supporting business growth, customer satisfaction, and large-scale operations.
Throughout his career, Joe has held various executive positions at Collective[i], Forescout Technologies, and PointClickCare, where he has successfully developed and matured enterprise security programs for global companies in highly regulated markets. At Collective[i], a SaaS platform driven by Artificial Intelligence, Joe developed a security program from the ground up and advanced its maturity from CMMI level 0 to level 3 in less than a year, while enhancing cloud security, incident response, and secure software development practices. At PointClickCare, Joe developed the application security program, reducing critical vulnerabilities by 90%. At Forescout Technologies, Joe led global certification efforts for FedRAMP, Common Criteria, and DoDIN APL, successfully managing over 1,600 technical requirements for entry into highly regulated markets.
In addition to Joe's executive roles at these companies, he is a fractional CISO who works with startups and growing technology companies in developing security strategies, modern security organizations, and integration of governance, risk, and compliance programs for long-term growth.
Prior to his executive roles in information security, Joe served in the Special Operations Forces and volunteered as a paramedic for over two decades in Israel’s National Emergency Medical Service.
Joe holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Israel’s Open University and has obtained various industry-recognized security certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CSSLP, and AWS Certified Architect. Joe is a cybersecurity Mentor through American Corporate Partners, supporting veterans in transitioning from military service to a technology career.
