About
With a passion for problem-solving and a hands-on approach to learning, I have always been drawn to roles that challenge conventional thinking. This curiosity led me to Penetration Testing, where I blend technical expertise with creative strategies to tackle complex security challenges. As an IT Solutions Engineer at TCM Security for over 2.5 years, I have made a significant impact by assisting students with their labs, conducting over 140 PNPT debriefs, and reviewing over 600 exam reports. My quick problem-solving abilities have allowed me to resolve helpdesk tickets in an average of just 3 minutes, with a response time under 2 minutes, earning recognition from both students and management.
My dedication to education and support has fostered a positive learning environment, with students expressing their gratitude for my assistance in troubleshooting lab setups, configuring tools, and correcting misconfigurations. I take pride in preparing detailed documentation, ensuring our team operates smoothly without unnecessary interruptions to leadership. This commitment to excellence has also been acknowledged by management, who consistently commend my work ethics. I have received an "Excellent" grade—the highest possible—in my quarterly performance reviews, motivating me to maintain high standards in all my endeavours.
Beyond my role at TCM Security, I am always learning and actively seek extracurricular opportunities, such as participating in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions. I recently celebrated a victory at the CTF event at Bsides Edmonton 2024 and am currently ranked in the top 2% on TryHackMe globally, with ambitions of reaching the top 1% soon.
Armed with in-depth knowledge of tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, and Metasploit, I have honed my Penetration Testing skills. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science (with Distinction), and I am in the final year of a Master’s in Information System Security Management. My commitment to learning is further demonstrated through my certifications in PNPT, PJWT, PJPT, and PJMT, as I prepare for the OSCP.
I am seeking Penetration Testing roles where I can leverage my skills, collaborate with experienced teams, and contribute to organizational success. While my primary focus is on Penetration Testing, niche areas such as car and airplane hacking intrigue me. Though I have yet to explore these fields in depth, my curiosity drives me to delve into them in the future. Let’s connect to discuss how I can contribute to your organization and explore exciting opportunities together!
