We are searching for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to help lead our client's fast-paced retail environment. Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary: $60,000-$65,000
Hours: 6AM-1AM (rotation shifts)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Train, guide, and motivate sales staff to ensure they are well-versed in sales techniques, procedures, and company objectives.
- Create and manage employee schedules, assigning staff to key roles and tasks to optimize workflow.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees, fostering a supportive and effective team.
- Oversee day-to-day store activities, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring all sales operations run smoothly.
- Lead shift meetings to align staff on daily objectives and address any immediate challenges.
- Support sales initiatives by actively engaging on the sales floor, providing feedback and assistance to ensure team success and customer satisfaction.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both customers and staff, ensuring alignment with the company's core values and culture.
- Track and assess sales performance, reviewing progress against targets and implementing new strategies to ensure profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering and restocking of merchandise to meet customer demand.
- Oversee promotional events and manage visual merchandising to maximize product exposure.
- Generate reports on daily and monthly sales, offering insights and updates to the management team.
- Ensure strict adherence to security protocols, record-keeping standards, and company policies to maintain a compliant and secure retail environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on sales targets and operational efficiency.
- Proficient in POS systems, inventory management, and sales reporting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
