Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of industrial abrasives looking for a District Sales Manager to handle their Ontario territory, managing their distributors and retailers. Your responsibility will include bringing in new distributors and taking care of an existing customers. You will also be tasked with growing new opportunities and growing existing ones within your territory. This role will focus on the construction and decoration segments. You must have experience selling into distributors, preferably construction companies and decoration type accounts.
Territory: Ontario
Workplace: Work from home (Must live in the GTA)
Products/Services: Industrial abrasives
Salary: Base $75,000-$83,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base salary (divided quarterly)
Car allowance: $9k annual for car + gas reimbursed
Expenses reimbursement: All work-related expenses reimbursed

Job Functions:
- Focus on identifying and growing new and existing business opportunities.
- Increase key accounts and develop new business within the Ontario market by conducting outside sales visits with end users and channel partners, while enhancing the company’s market share in the region.
- Assist in developing and conducting training programs for end users, distributors, and their sales representatives.
- Develop, analyze, and manage business plans for your assigned customer base to effectively maintain and grow sales.
- Present, sell, and provide training on our innovative products and services directly at customer sites.
- Negotiate long-term contracts with clients.
- Collaborate with management on the creation of marketing plans and the strategic direction for the company’s business development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our CRM system.
- Attend trade shows, from time to time

Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 40%

Languages: English
Education: Bachelor's or equivalent experience
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: Very little overnight required
Years’ of experience: at least 3-5 years sales experience into industrial/construction/decorative market
Other requirements:
- must possess a vehicle that can hold small demo equipment
- valid driver's license with no criminal background
- must be able to walk on construction projects/garages etc and sometimes early morning
- the person who will succeed here is highly organized and self-disciplined
- periodically will attend week-end events
