Job Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Information Security Specialists to join our dynamic Cyber Security department on a contract basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations, with a focus on optimizing and leading IT security efforts. The specialist will support key implementations and deployments of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Endpoint Security, and other Microsoft-related security enhancements.
Key Responsibilities - Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Measure and optimize application and infrastructure performance to ensure efficiency.
- System Recovery Leadership:
- Lead recovery actions after system failures, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick restoration.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee server, storage, network, security, and monitoring systems to ensure they meet the organization’s needs for availability, stability, scalability, and integrity.
- Security Detection & Configuration:
- Design and configure security detection algorithms and ensure they are operating effectively.
- Security Plan Development:
- Develop and implement IT system security plans and related initiatives.
- Backup Auditing & Incident Response Improvement:
- Audit backup processes and improve Incident Response policies to ensure operational readiness.
- Threat & Risk Assessments:
- Conduct Threat and Risk Assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and providing actionable risk mitigation recommendations.
Qualifications - Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, supported by a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications (must hold one or more of the following):
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Information Systems Professional (ISP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA CySA+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure, and security principles.
- Knowledge of Frameworks:
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ISO 27001.
- Communication:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
